BioProtect will initiate and facilitate a CWA outlining improved management practices, and contributing towards achieving the Mission goals of protecting and restoring marine biodiversity.

The CWA is a consensus-based, voluntary European standard developed through an open and standardized process. It involves drafting a proposal form and project plan, hosting the kick-off and final consensus meetings, formatting the final good practice recommendations to meet CEN requirements, registering stakeholders who want to participate and coordinating with the CWA Secretariat.
