The BioProtect project held its Kick-off meeting on 22-23 May in Copenhagen, officially launching the new EU-funded Mission Ocean & Waters 4-year project. For 2 days, 18 partners from 8 countries worked together to plan and strategise the project’s first steps, and how to best collaborate in order to develop innovative, adaptable, and scalable ecosystem-centered solutions aimed at safeguarding and restoring biodiversity across European seas.
The meeting included presentations from the BioProtect Coordinator, the EU CINEA Project Officer, and the DG MARE Policy Officer for the EU Mission for Ocean & Waters.
A press release was issued ahead of the meeting and circulated to project partners for further dissemination within their own networks.
