On Friday, 28 March 2025, BioProtect was proud to be featured at a special event celebrating the 5-year anniversary of Sjókovin, an independent, non-profit research institute based in the Faroe Islands. The celebration took the form of a dynamic conference focused on fisheries and aquaculture, highlighting key areas of research and innovation both within the Faroe Islands and across the Nordic region.
Organised by the Ministry of Fisheries and Infrastructure of the Faroe Islands, the event brought together a broad audience, including policy makers, researchers, and representatives from fisheries and aquaculture industries, as well as leading industry associations.
The BioProtect project was showcased during the conference, offering attendees insight into our ongoing work and contributions to sustainable aquaculture practices. The event provided an excellent platform for dialogue, collaboration, and inspiration, reinforcing the vital role of regional cooperation in driving forward innovation in marine and aquatic sciences.
