October 8, 2026 – October 9, 2026
The Atlantic Summit Galway 2026 will be held on 8–9 October 2026 in Galway, Ireland, coinciding with Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event will convene key actors from research, policy, industry, and civil society to advance dialogue on the future of the Atlantic Ocean.
Co-organised by the Marine Institute, the University of Galway, and Atlantic Technological University, with support from Ireland’s Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, the Summit will focus on setting strategic priorities for Atlantic research, addressing emerging skills needs, and fostering innovation—positioning the Atlantic as a central pillar of Europe’s ocean agenda.
AAORIA will participate in this high-level gathering, where selected solutions developed during the 2026 AAORIA Forum Hackathon will be presented. Participating teams will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas, extending the impact of the Salvador discussions and strengthening collaboration across the Atlantic community.
