Online Event: Building Resilience in Marine Ecosystems through Maritime Spatial Planning and Nature-based Solutions

This second joint online event builds on the first collaboration between the EU Mission Adaptation to Climate Change and the EU Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters and will explore how maritime spatial planning and nature-based solutions can enhance resilience across marine ecosystems.

By bringing together experts and stakeholders from both Missions through expert presentations and real-world examples from demonstrators and pilot projects, the event will highlight integrated strategies to manage marine protected areas, restore ecosystems, and support biodiversity. The event will also showcase innovative tools and governance approaches that support planners, public authorities, and stakeholders in implementing effective solutions.

Participants will engage in interactive discussions with key experts on the topic and exchange knowledge on how to build resilience across marine environments while adapting to a changing climate.
