This All-Atlantic IEA Symposium was held on 17-18 November in Copenhagen, bringing together the scientific community from across the Atlantic to share results, exchange ideas, and look toward the future of integrated ecosystem assessment.

Building on BioProtect’s core objectives, this emerging partnership will co-develop IEA approaches tailored to New Zealand’s marine management needs, exchange tools and methodologies across EU and NZ teams, and explore long-term cooperation mechanisms beyond the project’s lifetime.
BioProtect coordinator Sophie Jensen was there and the collaboration with New Zealand was highlighted as our project is taking the lead in helping strengthen and sustain this new EU–New Zealand collaboration on IEA.
Stay tuned to read about this story, including the full impact narrative and more photos from the symposium!
